HOW TO PLANT ROSES????

Rose is undoubtedly the 'Queen of Flowers'. If you have a passion for gardening and loveflowers then I am sure you have always wanted to grow roses in your garden. Some newbie gardeners including me, a fewyears ago used to think rose is one of the most difficult shrubs to grow. This is actually a misconception. Anybody can grow roses just like any otherplant. All you have to do is follow some simple tipsand tricks on how to grow roses correctly. In this episode let's list out the 10 usefulrose plant care tips one by one. Please watch it till the end as some of thesetips might surprise you with few bonus tips at the end. Before we start make sure you have subscribedto our channel along with the bell notification. 10. Bare Root Roses or Container Roses? You can purchase roses already potted in soilthats container roses or as dormant bare-root plants

. If you are a beginner, container roses isthe best option, because they are easy to plant and they establish quickly. If you are planting bare root roses, whichare commonly sold online, they need to have their roots soaked overnight in water beforeplanting them in the soil, and the roots must be kept always moist for the first few weeksafter planting. 9. Repotting a Newly bought Rose plantThe commonest mistake most of us do immediately repot a newly purchased plant. Never do this. Keep this newly bought container in partialshade or indirect sunlight for at least 3 to 4 days for it to settle down and then shiftto full sunlight or consider repotting in a new container and new potting mix of youchoice. Do not remove the entire mother soil fromthe plant, specially beginners. Just tease the roots around and then placein a new potting mix. Then after repotting, water it thoroughlyand keep it in shade for few days to prevent repotting or transplant shock which causesthe plant to wilt. 8. Drainage and Pot SelectionNo doubt, You need a well draining soil for all plants.

This applies even to rose plant. Make sure you have good drainage holes atthe bottom that do not get clogged easily. As you keep the containers in full sunlight, plastic containers are not recommended. Clay pots are the best and next comes thecement containers. We have discussed in detail on choosing theright containers in another episode. You can find links to all related videos fromdescription below. 7. Potting MixRose is a special plant and we expect a lot of flowers from it. So the nutrient requirement for this plantis high. As you all know, Any plant requires Phosphorousand potassium for healthy flowering and fruiting. Keeping this in mind while you prepare yourpotting. Steamed bone meal is the most important sourceof phosphorous and a slow release fertilizer. One handful of it will be sufficient to produceflowering for the entire year. You should also make a proper potting mixwith all ingredients like decomposed cowdung, vermicompost, coco peat or peat moss and gardensoil in proper proportions to make a well draining soil. You can watch my detailed video on the bestuniversal potting mix recipe from a link here at top right corner or from the descriptionbelow after this video. 6. Sunlight and LocationRose plant needs atleast 6 to 8 hours of full direct sunlight to produce flowers and tokeep it healthy. You cannot expect flowering without sunlight. One more important point to remember hereis its location. If possible protect it from hot noon sunlight, like 12 pm to 2 pm sun or if this is not possible, you can install a 50 percent green shade netto protect from noon sun, specially in hot summer. 5. Watering RequirementRoses need daily watering and a well draining soil is very important and at the same timemoisture around roots has to be maintained by adding stuff like compost and coco peat. You can add a little more compost like decomposedcowdung or some extra leaf compost in your potting mix. One important watering tip for roses to avoidfungus is Water early in the morning before sun starts. Watering in evening can keep it damp and encouragefungus.

4. FertilizerRose plant requires regular feeding to increase flowering both number of flowers and alsoto achieve big sized roses. If you use chemical fertilizers, NPK 20 2020 and DAP crystals that's Di ammonium phosphate alternating every week is sufficient to producegood flowering. But if you are completely organic like me,Consider adding a hand full of vermicompost or decomposed cow dung in each container every15 days after raking or tilling the top soil. Raking or tilling the soil is itself an importanttask to improve soil aeration and improve your plants health. Then, You can also perform a foliar sprayby mixing 1 teaspoon of Epsom salt in 1 litre of water once every 15 days for best results. 3. Pest ControlThis is most important step. The only regular pesticide I recommend isNeem oil weekly once spray. This prevents and cures a lot of diseasesand pests on rose plants. 5 to 10 ml neem oil mixed in 1 litre of waterwith few drops of liquid soap or shampoo. There are two most common disease attackson rose. One is the Rose die back disease and the blackspot rose disease, both are caused by fungus. We have detailed episodes on these topics. You can check those links in description below. 2. Dead HeadingThis is another important task most of us are lazy to perform. Just pluck those dead and fading flowers fromthe plant. This will conserve the plants energy to productmore new buds rather than diverting the energy in seed formation. Performing dead heading as soon as the flowersstarts to fade is beneficial instead of waiting for the flower to dry completely. 1. Pruning or Trimming Rose PlantsThis is important task most of us neglect. Do not hesitate or be afraid to prune yourose plant. You are not gonna kill it. Pruning is an important gardening secret tohealthy rose bush because this encourages branching and makes your plant more bushyas a result more number of flowers. Perform at least a basic pruning what is calledsoft pruning in early spring season once in a year. I have a detailed episode on Pruning conceptsand types of pruning. This will give you an insight on When, Whyand how to prune any plant. Please watch that episode from an end screenlink after this video. Now! Two Bonus Tips:Firstly About Soil PH: Rose loves slightly acidic soil. If you have a PH testing meter you can checkit by dipping into your soil. Rose loves a ph of 6.0 to 6.5. To acidify your soil you can water it by mixing10 gms of alum in 1 litre of water, once every 15 days or a month. This will certainly improve your plants healthand increase flowering because acidic soil is important for nutrient absorption. Secondly, You can add Mustard Cake Tea orEven used tea dust as discussed in my previous episodes. You can check all related videos in descriptionbelow.

The Length of the cuttings should not be toolong try to restrict to 6 or 8 inches. 4. Make a Cut at 45 degree cutting angle andthe point of insertion of the stem cutting using a sharp and a clean cutting tool. Wipe the tool with hydrogen peroxide or withspirit with a cotton to keep it free from germs. 5. Use a Rooting hormone powder like Indole ButyricAcid, which is a chemical that stimulates rooting. If you do not have it, you can use organicrooting agents like Cinnamon powder from your kitchen or even dip into some good qualitypure honey and insert the cuttings. Another hack here is if you are tryingto root rose cuttings in water, mix a pinch of this rooting chemical into the water forbetter results. 6. The Growth Medium you are using is also important. If you are rooting in water. The container water should be changed every3 days to prevent contamination and infection. If you are using Potting soil, use a looseor well draining soil for root development with atleast 10% compost in it. 7. Insertion depth: That is how deep should Iinsert the cuttings. Minimum 1 inch deep or 1 to 2 inches depthis considered better. 8. Keep the cuttings covered to maintain humidityand prevent moisture evaporation. You can use polythene bags or simply keepthem in a covered contained. 9. Trick or Hack which many of us are unaware. A simple hack that is very helpful and givesbest results by retaining the moisture within the cutting and thus increasing the successrate. Simply burn a Candle and pour on few dropsof wax on the upper end of the cutting to seal it and then continue with the cloningprocess. 10. BASIC STRUCTURE OF C++ PROGRAM

Structure of a program  Probably the best way to start learning a programming language is by writing a program. Therefore, here is our first program:  // my first program in C++  #include <iostram> using namespace std;  int main () {  cout << "Hello World!";  return 0; }  Hello World!  The first panel shows the source code for our first program. The second one shows the result of the program once compiled and executed. The way to edit and compile a program depends on the compiler you are using. Depending on whether it has a Development Interface or not and on its version. Consult the compilers section and the manual or help included with your compiler if you have doubts on how to compile a C++ console program. The previous program is the typical program that programmer apprentices write for the first time, and its result is the printing on screen of the...
